Newborn at Home

I always love visiting my clients homes, so I was really thrilled to be able to capture this precious newborn at home.  Her parents were amazing! I photographed their maternity session here. They were so lovely to work with, and their daughter was so sweet.  I got a lot of really great simple shots here, with baby sleeping in some wraps and really cute headbands.  I used a lot of pinks and creams, and this little miss made everything look so good!  Her parents are clearly in love with her, and after this session I can certainly see why!

She even gave us some cute little smiles in her sleep!

I submit there’s almost nothing cuter than sweet little baby fingers!Mom and Dad are so captivated by their adorable little one, and you can definitely see it on their faces.

Natural Posing Studio | O’Fallon Newborn Photographer

I took this mama’s maternity photos several weeks ago, and I was so excited to meet her sweet baby girl.  I think her natural posing studio session turned out great!  She was so precious, sleeping very soundly, and allowing me plenty of opportunities to catch her sweetness on camera.  Her big brother was so well-behaved, and you can already tell he has a soft spot for his sister. I loved how this family was so loving, and more than willing to express that. I was able to capture several tender moments between them.  It is enough to melt the heart!

I love this picture, and the way it shows her sleeping so soundly, enveloped by her mothers hands.

She was such a sound sleeper, and that always makes things easier!

Sibling love is always magical to see, and this was no different!

It is so beautiful to see a family willing to share such tender moments, and you can feel the love here.

No session would be complete without some sweet baby toes!

Sweet Little Baby | St. Louis Newborn Photographer

It’s always exciting for me to be able to photograph siblings.  I photographed this sweet little baby in her home a couple weeks ago. I also photographed her big brother for his newborn photos, so I was grateful for the opportunity to do the same with his new sister.  And isn’t she a sweetheart?  First of all, she was so good, sleeping soundly so I could get some great shots.  I also love cute little baby fingers and toes, and you can see she’s got those!  Her brother was also willing to give her some sleepy time snuggles, as well as a little peck.  It’s enough to melt your heart, and look at those curls!  It was great seeing him become a big brother.

And of course, no newborn session is complete without showing how much mom and dad are in love with their new little addition, and this session was no different.  I was able to get a great family shot, which you can see below, and baby has stolen everyone’s heart.

Birth Photos at Mercy | St. Louis Birth Photographer

I was headed to a milestone session when I got the call that this little one would be born soon, and we’d be taking some birth photos at Mercy Hospital! No one knew she was a girl, and that always adds a layer of anticipation in birth stories. By the time I finished my milestone session, it was time to head to the hospital. And by the time I got to the hospital, mom was almost pushing! It was a close one, but I made it in plenty of time to tell the birth story, and capture many great images of the family afterwards.

Big brother was so sweet. He was a little shy about her at first, but it didn’t take him long to warm up!  Soon after he was smothering her with kisses every few minutes. This baby girl has some very proud grandparents, too. I would say she is going to be one well loved little baby.

Mom was about as laid-back as they come through her labor. She is an L&D nurse at Mercy herself, plus a second time mom, so she was well versed and calm about every single thing. She even smiled during the pushing process. That is something I don’t see too often, and I was so amazed!
