If you’re looking for a gallery full of perfect, “smiling-at-the-camera-with-every-hair-perfectly-in-place” images, I’m not the right fit for you. However, if you want photos of your family having fun together, making fond memories, and loving on each other, then let’s chat!
While I do work to get some of the “look at the camera and smile” mixed in, we do a lot of other stuff in between, and some children simply will not do it, or do it for long. And that’s perfectly ok! In my book, photography is all about capturing your family as you are, right now, in the moment. To me, that is perfection, no matter how imperfect it may feel.
Of course, I will guide you into the best light, use the best angles, give you advice on the best wardrobe, and tell you if something (including your hair placement) isn’t looking quite right! That is all part of the service and expertise I offer. What I do not do is nitpick every inch of you, worrying about and photoshopping the things that really don’t matter (such as if there’s a teensy tiny chip on your fingernail polish). In my photos, the special bond you and your family share together is what shines through.
A typical family session with me includes lots of kids swinging in the air, running to given parents a big hug, sitting on shoulders, and lots of cuddles. I truly try to make it a fun experience for the little ones. And when they’re done – well, we’re done! I won’t push them past their limits, because I want them to look forward coming to see me again and again, and it works! Parents tell me all the time how much their kids look forward to coming to see me. Although the lollipops may help, lol!
If this sounds like the type of family photo session you’d enjoy, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314-488-7150 to discuss options and to get on my calendar! Pricing information can be found here.

It was so great to meet this family for SIUE family photos recently! We had been trying to get photos done for some time, but never could seem to find dates that work for both of us. We finally did, and we had such a perfect night!See more
Brigid is celebrating a first birthday! As part of the celebration, she came to see me for a studio milestone session, and we captured such sweet images! We photographed some of Brigid with her loving family, and a few of her alone, and then she got to dig into some cake! I think that was probably her favorite part. 🙂See more
Today I’ll be sharing a few sweet photos of Sophie and Evie, two adorable sisters who I’ve been photographing since Evie was just a baby! We’ve known their mama for a long time, ever since Liam, my now 10-year-old, was 2 years old and in her class at our childcare center! At the time, Julie didn’t have any children yet, but I was so excited for her when she did become a mama! She now babysits for us so we can get an occasional date night, and I do photos for her family! Here are some of my favorites from our quick mini shoot a week ago.

Bennett came to the studio to celebrate turning one with some photos! He is always so photogenic, and this photo session in my Edwardsville studio was no exception. He is always so much fun to photograph as a result of that. His parents are also so great with him. It is clear he is a very loved little guy!See more
Recently, Sean came to see me for his 3 month baby photos in the studio! He brought his big sister Emma with me, and they were so much fun. Emma is so adorable, and has the cutest little voice. It is clear by the way she talks she is very intelligent, and I always love hearing what she has to say!
Sean and I had a rough start initially, as he wasn’t quite sure what to think of me (and possibly my mask!). However, after some milk and mama snuggles, he warmed up, and we captured the sweetest smiles! We kept things super simple, with white clothing and a white background, and mom and I both loved how they turned out! There is something timeless about such simplicity, and I was happy to hear they’ll be cherishing these photos for years to come.
This is such a wonderful family, and I’m so glad they’ve chosen me to be their photographer since Emma was a newborn herself! That’s one of the best things about my job – seeing my families continue to grow, and come back to me again and again!See more
Coen is one! To celebrate, we met at Forest Park in St. Louis, MO, on a beautiful summer morning. We took photos of the family together, and Coen with each parent individually. This is what I generally do in all of my family photo sessions!
It is always such a wonderful thing to get to watch my newborn clients grow into toddlers, and even big kids as time passes. Coen was one of our Covid babies – we could not do a typical newborn session due to Covid restrictions. However, we did do newborn photos outdoors, and I am happy to say that those are still some of my favorite newborn photos to this day. We had beautiful light, and it was something unique from the typical studio and lifestyle newborn photos we offer.
Coen is such a smily little guy. He was a little shy at first, but soon warmed up, and then was such a ham for the rest of the session! I can’t think of this photo session without getting a big smile on my face!

I always love capturing this family of four! The first time I met them, they were a new family of three. It’s been so wonderful offering my St. Louis family photography services to them for four years now! Time really flies, and a lot of things have changed in that time. However, one thing that has not changed, is they continue to be one of my very favorite families to capture! I was a little sad when I learned they were moving away, but am so grateful they continue to choose to have me as their family’s photographer.
The reason for this photoshoot is their youngest turned a year old! What a milestone, and what a great reason to document the family!See more
